UX design
I approach UX research as a structured process focused on reducing uncertainty and guiding decisions with evidence. By combining qualitative insights, behavioral analysis and measurable validation, I translate complex user needs into clear design direction. My goal is not only usability, but sustainable adoption and real-world impact. I approach UX projects by using the double diamond method, below more information.
Discover
In the discovery phase, I investigate user behavior, context and systemic barriers through interviews, observations, desk research and baseline measurements. I immerse myself in the user environment to uncover friction points, motivations and hidden constraints. For Digi4 (A UX project where I helped by digitizing the elderly in the south of Rotterdam), this meant engaging directly with seniors in Rotterdam South to understand digital exclusion firsthand. All the information is being gathered (I use Miro or Figma) and made visual.

Define
During the define phase, I synthesize research into structured insights, personas (see left) and design principles. I clarify the core problem, identify measurable objectives and align stakeholders around a shared direction. In Digi4, insights around low literacy, digital fear and step-by-step learning needs shaped the foundation of the solution.

Design
My design phase is iterative and validation-driven. I prototype early, test frequently and refine based on user feedback and measurable signals. From wireframes to high-fidelity prototypes, I focus on clarity, accessibility and learnability. For Digi4, each concept was tested against usability and WCAG AA standards.

80%

75%
Reduced usability friction through simplified flows and structured step-by-step learning modules
Sustainable
Sustainable implementation, with Digi4 embedded into ongoing courses for continued adoption
Deliver
Delivery focuses on measurable outcomes and sustainable implementation. I validate improvements through usability testing, A/B testing and post-intervention evaluation. Solutions are refined until they demonstrate real behavioral change. Digi4 was integrated into existing educational programs to ensure long-term support and continued impact.
